The annual fall TACL conference will be held on October 13-15, 2010 in Ripley, TN. Ripley is located in Lauderdale County as far west as you can go. We’re just north of Shelby County and West of Madison County to give you some indication of our location. We’re known for our famous tomatoes and hospitality and our community is home to famous Author, Alex Haley (thus the theme!).

Hotel accommodations for the conference will be at the Days Inn located at 555 Highway 51 North. Their telephone number is 731-635-7378. Please tell them you are with TACL for the special rate of $60.00 per night. A special block of rooms will be available for TACL but will be released on September 15th so don’t wait, book now! Overflow accommodations, if needed, will be at the Super 8 Motel, also located on Highway 51 N. In the event that our block of rooms at the Days Inn has been taken, you can reach the Super 8 at 731-635-8181.

The conference committee has worked hard to try and provide you with a wonderful and unique learning experience. We’re going to have lots of hand-on activities... things you can carry home and use with your own programs. We promise you’ll learn some great things but you will also have a great time. We’re shaking things up a bit and doing things a little different... don’t be afraid, be adventurous! You’ll like it!

The awards dinner will have a Halloween theme so bring your costume. We’ll also give each community a pumpkin to decorate... free registration for next year to the winner. Last thing... please bring door prizes from your community. Dress is always business casual.
